AWPGA Application to Host a National/Regional Specialty

It is the American Wirehaired Pointing Griffon Association (AWPGA), and not the individual or host club, which is accountable to the American Kennel Club. Therefore, the AWPGA Board of Directors must approve of all dates, sites, class changes/additions and policy changes proposed by the Specialty host prior to any commitment. No contracts may be signed, on behalf of the AWPGA, until the Specialty is awarded. All official correspondence with the AKC and with the judges must be handled by the AWPGA Secretary. If more than one bid is received, preference will be given to the application that most closely fulfills the needs of the club and its members. The AWPGA Board of Directors reserves the right to make its final decision based on the experience and qualifications of the bidding hosts.

Please submit your bid to the Board of Directors no later than the Board meeting at the National Specialty 2 years before the proposed Specialty date, with a formal update to the Board and the membership one year before the event.
