Considering a puppy from our Breeders Referral List is the first step! The breeders listed here have been dedicated AWPGA members for at least three years and adhere to our Code of Ethics, Breeder Best Practices, and Breeder Standard Practices.

While we do not endorse or recommend any specific breeder or their practices, we want to ensure you have a positive experience. Please note that the AWPGA is not responsible for any transactions made through this list and cannot guarantee the quality of the animals from these breeders.

We encourage all potential puppy buyers to thoroughly screen and evaluate any breeder before making a purchase to ensure you find the perfect companion.     Desert Gems Griffons has been breeding since 2018.   Our Griffons are active in both conformation and hunting.   We health test Eyes, Hips, Elbows, Thyroid and Cardio.  Puppies are raised in our home with socialization being key.  Puppies will go home exposed to crates, potty training, children, loud noises, nail clipping etc.   Our puppies make great hunting companions, eager to work with their owner.   We have also bred multiple AKC Grand Champions and Hunt Titled dogs.   Desert Gems believes that structure is key for having a hunting dog who can hunt with you for many, many years.   We strive with each litter to breed to the breed standard, with correct structure and coarse coat.  We generally only place one litter per year and do keep a waiting list.

    All our dogs are shown in AKC Conformation shows to obtain their AKC Championship title. We hunt our dogs on wild upland birds and waterfowl as much as possible during hunting season.  We also make it a goal to test our dogs in AKC and NAVHDA.

    Our first litter is receiving great feedback from both the field and conformation ring. 

    We strive to breed to the Breed Standard with correct conformation, course coats, hunt drive and a great companion for the home. 

    All puppies will be microchipped and registered with both AKC and NAVDHA.
