AWPGA Rescue Volunteer Form

Please fill out the form below if you want to join the AWPGA Rescue Team as a volunteer. AWPGA Rescue could use volunteers to help in its mission of rescuing purebred Wirehaired Pointing Griffons.

Only AWPGA members in good standing may serve on the rescue committee.

While Rescue is often feast or famine, with dogs coming out of the woodwork in high times or few to no cases in low periods, it is one of the most rewarding ways to give back to the breed. Finding forever homes for dogs in need reminds us all why we became involved in the club to begin with, and that is because we love these adorable, affable dogs, who aren't just pets but members of our families.

 Rescue needs volunteers willing to:

  • Monitor the web for possible cases

  • Evaluate dogs that have been referred as potential cases

  • Facilitate rescues from surrender to placement

  • Transport placed dogs

Any questions prior to submission may be directed to the

    Rescue Chairman, Martha "Marty" Ingram
