From the moment he hit the ground, Tesla’s Ludicrous Mode Activated lived up to his name. Born into a carefully planned pairing between two exceptional Wirehaired Pointing Griffons, Tesla showed early signs of the qualities breeders and handlers prize: confidence, drive, biddability, and a mind that worked faster than most dogs twice his age.
By six months, Tesla was already displaying natural point and a soft mouth. He was swimming before his first freeze and had no hesitation working in cover. Just shy of his first birthday, he passed his Junior Hunter title with ease and then stunned everyone by earning a NAVHDA Utility Prize I—a rare feat for such a young dog.
Tesla is a well-balanced male with a classic Griffon head, expressive furnishings, and a harsh, dense coat that holds up in any terrain. His movement is athletic and confident, with an efficient gait and strong topline. In the home, Tesla is quiet and affectionate. In the field, he’s explosive, intuitive, and determined. He hunts for the handler and adjusts naturally to terrain, cover, and bird pressure.
Tesla represents the best of what the modern versatile Griffon can be: obedient without being dull, eager without being wild, and driven without being overbearing. He thrives in training environments and brings focus and joy to every session. He is equally capable on upland game and waterfowl, with a reliable retrieve and a cooperative, responsive nature.
He continues to work toward higher AKC and NAVHDA titles, including senior and master hunter levels, and is being selectively shown to finish his conformation championship.
